[Cassie shuts her eyes]
Barbara: "You see, in Ghana, it is considered disrespectful for children to make eye contact with adults. That is why Cassie is shutting her eyes."
Jo: "I see."
[Tyson holds his palms together and bows to Jo]
Barbara: "Also, in Japan, people living there greet by bowing with their palms together and saying hello."
Jo: "I know."
[Cassie curls up in her grandmother's bed]
Barbara: "Cassie is afraid of the dark because in Ghana, bad things happened during the night. Prowlers would come to their village and clear out people who are poor by setting fire to their huts, shacks and whatnot."
Cassie: "Grandma, I am scared!"
